8/52 | She's so Samantha but I'm more like a Carrie

"She's so Samantha but I'm more like a Carrie" | Sensitive Guy by McBusted
This weeks been a bit of a funny one because I haven't actually done much but I am back in Manchester which is always good! However, this week I hit 1000 page views which is crazy and I'm now on 1310 page views so hello to all you readers out there.

As it's my day off from uni today, I went and did some exploring (and lots of shopping) and found Ziferblat which is quite possibly the most amazing place I've ever been to and I had to share it with all you lovely people. It's such a unique concept; instead of paying for tea and cake you pay 5p per minute to be there and everything else is free (including the wifi!). They say they want you to feel like you're at your mates house and it really does have that feel...there's sofas and a full kitchen, games, tables; it's really cute! If you're in Manchester and in the Northern Quarter, you have to go here because it's so friendly and welcoming (plus there is a great selection of tea and cakes and cereals and biscuits).

Stay tuned to the blog because I will defiantly be doing a more in-depth post on here in the near future. If you've been here, tell me in the comments below about your experience!

10 Must See Films

There's nothing better than sitting down with a cup of tea and watching a good film. As we speak, I'm still curled up in bed ill but I'm using this as an excuse to watch films because what else am I meant to do? Recently, I've watched a lot of really good films which I wanted to share with you all. Most of these you can find on Netflix but some I watched on sky, some at the cinema and some I downloaded so here we go!

6 ways to relax

If there's one thing I love more than lazy Sunday's, it's being able to have lazy weekdays which I've had all this week due to reading week! I feel like that in this day and age, where we're all connected to each other 24/7, it's more important than ever to take a chill pill and some me time and have a break from the gruelling day to day goings on so I thought I'd share with you all by top 6 tips to winding down.

7/52 | Good times for a change

"Good times for a change" | Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want by The Smiths
This week I've really gotten back into listening to The Smiths, who I absolutely adore. I don't know whether it's because I've been watching films set in the 80's or what but I am so happy to have re kindled this love.

I' back at home this week as it's reading week and I've been quite ill so I'm taking some time to relax before heading straight back into uni next week and hopefully feeling a damn sight better. I had to share with you this gorgeous photo of my cat, Dumbledore, which I took last night as we watched Eastenders. How he managed to sleep through it I don't know because I have been so excited over live week of the show and finally finding out who killed Lucy Beale. Sad, I know, but it's the small things in life!

My every day face

I feel like I ned to apologise for the selfie but who doesn't love a good selfie eh? And it's sort of fitting with today's post which is my every day make up which you can see in said selfie. I'm a big fan of the barely there make up for day to day activities so I thought I'd share the look with you all.

6/52 | Love Me Like You Do

"Love me like you do" | Love me like you do by Ellie Goulding

Happy Valentines Day to all you lovely people! Again, apologies for the late upload but I've been really ill and had assessments to do so I've only just got around to posting this weeks photo.

I have to tell you all about this amazing little hot chocolate cafe and shop in the Northern Quarter in Manchester called Bonbon Hot Chocolate Boutique. It's such a quaint little shop which have the greatest hot chocolate I've ever tasted, and I've had some pretty good hot chocolate in my time. The one above is the orange hot chocolate where you can actually see the woman grate fresh orange into the chocolate so not only does it taste amazing, it also smells amazing too.

I hope you've all had a good week and I'll see you all (hopefully) on Wednesday.

FOOD | Healthy Green Chicken Stir Fry

Do you ever have those days where you cook a meal and surprise yourself with how nice it is? That happened to me this evening and I felt I had to share it with you all! I love trying new recipes and this was one I kind of just threw together with some left over veg I had in the fridge. It's super quick, super tasty and super healthy. A win win all round.

4&5 / 52 | Catching up

4/52 |  "Stop, Wait a minute" | Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars
5/52 | "I know you're lying, your lips are moving" Lips are Movin' by Meghan Trainor

Big apologies to you all for my lack of posting this past week but it's been a hectic one, that's for sure. I've been home seeing my family and had my first ever iron transfusion which wasn't actually as scary as it sounds. I've found that you can read a heck of a lot of books on train journeys, which has helped me along on my reading challenge. I'm about to start my 5th book and currently in the process of deciding what to read so leave your recommendations down in the comments below!

I also had coursework due this last week which I was writing well to the line because we were given so little time to write it which is why I've been so inactive on the blog as I didn't have chance to schedule any posts (I really should try and do that more!). Anyways, I bought Tanya Burrs new book and it's really inspired me to blog more and given me some post ideas too!

I hope you all had a nice fortnight!
