I don't get Bridget Jones

Bridget Jones was once again being replayed on tv last night and I decided to watch it, until 20 minutes in I had to turn it off because I came to the sudden realisation that I cannot stand the Bridget Jones Diary films. It had been quite a long time since I last watched one and I just found it insanely annoying and whiney

3/52 | you're just a little bit out of my limit

"You're just a little bit out of my limit" | Out of My Limit by 5 Seconds of Summer

Last weekend I ventured to Media City in Salford with my flatmate and even though it was a very cold and windy day, we had fun looking through the windows of all the tv studios including Blue Peter and Coronation Street! Whilst we were there we went to see Into The Woods which was a really good film and well worth a watch.

The best concealer yet

I find I always seem to struggle when it comes to concealers; I can never find one which is just right. After looking at review after review I hear about Maybelline The Eraser Eye Concealer and just had to try it.

Teapigs Tea

It's no secret, I love tea. It's rare to see me without a mug of it and recently I've diversified my tea flavours and moved away from the classic breakfast tea and started to try more herbal teas. Don't get me wrong, I still love a good cup of decaf breakfast tea but I wanted to share with you all a wonderful brand which I've been trying called teapigs.

Disclaimer : This post is in no way sponsored by Teapigs. I just wanted to share with you all this amazing brand

Beginners tips for painting your nails

If you read this post then you'll know I struggle with painting my nails. Yesterday I bought the Seventeen Gel effect polish in a nude colour because I love the look of gel nails but last time I had them done professionally, the gel ruined my nails and they're only just back to normal so  I've been practising and decided to give you beginners like me my top tips for painting your nails.

2/52 | 'Cause I am the opposite of amnesia

"'Cause I am the opposite of amnesia" | Centuries by Fall Out Boy

There's been a serious lack of activity on the blog and that's because I'm back at uni in the wonderful city of Manchester. It's been a busy ol' week filled with moving back into my flat, catching up with friends and finishing the dreaded coursework.

The picture above is of the manchester wheel which was lit up tonight as I went shopping with some friends and picked up some last minute sales bargains including a shirt I wanted from Urban Outfitters which had been £20 in the sale last week and was down to £15 today and a cardigan from Jack Wills that I've been lusting after for months which is down from £96 to £59 and now it's down to a ridiculous £29.

I also grabbed some bits and bobs from Boot's too which I'll share with you soon. I don't know what the post frequency is going to be like in the next few weeks but once I'm settled right back into uni and on top of my work, I'll be posting with some consistency!

Book Review | Since You've Been Gone

This was one of those books which I saw on one of the tables in Waterstones and read the blurb and thought I've got to read that as Kelly Clarkson's same titled song started playing in my head.

1/52 | rise above the best and prove yourself

"rise above the best and prove yourself" - Warriors by Imagine Dragons

The first week of this year has also been the last week at home before going back to university. I've been taking my dog Arthur for lots of walks, taking advantage of the beautiful countryside before going back to the big city.

52 Week Project

I've seen this project floating around on flickr and decided to attempt it myself this year. The project intails me taking one photo a week which I'll upload on here and give a little summary of my week. Each post will be titled with a song lyric from a song I've been loving this week and I'll create a little playlist which I'll share with you. I've always struggled doing the photo every day challenges so I thought that a weekly project would be a lot easier to attempt!

I'll be uploading every Wednesday at 10am UK time. I hope you all enjoy this little project

How to get nail art nails when you're no good at nail art

Try as I might, I have never been any good at painting my nails. I've seen friends paint their nails amazingly, sometimes doing themed nails, but as soon as I try, I end up with streaky polish with more on the skin around the nail than what's actually on the nails. However, I have found a quick and easy way to get some funky (yes, I am using the word funky) looking nails

3/365 | The New Year, New Me Cliche

2015 has officially begun and three days in I feel that it's time I wrote down a list of things I want to do this year and how I think I can improve on the last 365 days. Now, I don't know about you but towards the end of 2014 my Facebook news feed was a see of status updates sarcastically saying "Can't wait for the new year new me statuses" and for some reason it really started to bug me for two reasons. The first being, no one actually wrote a new year new me status and secondly because, as corny and cliche as it is, I do believe that a new year is a chance to reflect and change your habits. It's like a big kick up the arse as a year ends to look and think Was I really happy this past year? What can I do to improve and make the next year even better? It angered me that people were belittling other people making positive changed to their lives and I feel like that's just wrong.
